His role covers every major area of enterprise risk, including operational oversight, regulatory compliance, information security and strategic risk planning.

With more than 15 years of experience in financial services, David brings a deep understanding of how risk interacts with business growth and innovation. He works closely with the CEO and board to assess emerging threats, enforce governance frameworks and drive informed decision-making across the organisation. His leadership supports Caledonia’s ability to grow responsibly while maintaining the highest levels of trust, accountability and compliance.

David’s career began in finance, internal audit and operational control. Early exposure to risk across multiple sectors gave him a hands-on view of how real-world systems fail and how they can be protected. That practical foundation continues to guide his work today. He has since led enterprise risk functions at a global banking institution, where he designed large-scale control systems, implemented data protection policies and shaped cross-border compliance strategies.

His expertise spans compliance risk, operational risk, reputational risk and strategic risk. He has led initiatives in business continuity, disaster recovery and cyber resilience, and has worked extensively on information assurance and risk reporting. At Caledonia, David is building a proactive risk culture that enables bold ideas without compromising the systems behind them.
